Apply to the Register / Reinstatement

For Internationally Educated Nurses

This section is for candidates educated in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom or Ireland.

Step 6

Temporary Registration Permit (TRP)

After CNNB receives confirmation of course completion, you will be issued a Temporary Registration Permit (TRP) with Restrictions on area of Practice (depending on education) and Condition to complete any *identified education. The TRP will be issued for one year (in two 6-month increments).

If your nursing education did not include clinical and theoretical in 1 or 2 of these areas: Psychiatric, pediatric, or obstetrics, CNNB will refer you to NBCC/CCNB for additional courses.
